I agree on those last two comments. Which is why I'd prefer the 'possibility' to have new post highlighting. With just a lightbulb in front of the subject, you need to first spot that highlight and then read what's next to it (at least, with another 'post icon' in between which I'd equally want to lose). Formerly, we could have the highlighting all worked into the subject itself, so it's really in-your-face if you want to.
But actually - don't we just LOVE the way UBB is so customisable? It's great! Now then... can we just add that little feature?
