I use OpenDNS for my DNS Servers vs my isp (comcast kept doing maintenace on them and I got fed up with waiting hours), my changes show up almost instantaneously wink...

You could consider setting up a .htaccess redirect to send all users to the new url; you could do this several ways, but the easiest I think would be adding this to your .htaccess file on the old server:

That way anyone who hasn't "moved on" will automatically forward to the new place wink... And you could still access that server via the www1
