sorry for the misdirect toon.. rather than waddle thru ubbthreads.inc.php, the easiest way is to combine giz idea, but further restrict it to admin only..

1. open /scripts/online.inc.php
2. find "admin_only" => 0 ( ~ line 39ish)
3. change to : "admin_only" => 1
4. save file and upload
5. go to admin cpanel and disable who's online island
6. bookmark (just for you)
http://yourforum/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=online*poof* done
note: 'yourforum' is your domain and i assumed it was under the ubbthreads directory.. your mileage may vary
note: this will allow YOU (admins too) only to access that URL without getting an access error like "yo dude, no can do that" for all other users, including guests. it's essentially hidden AND protected this way
