Logged in Script for External Web pages?

Hi does anyone have a link or a working example
of a external "Logged In" script.

I have one that i found on UBBDEV,
for classic, which i used,
to allow only registered / logged in users
to access certain exteral webpages.

I then used part of cookie to pull out there user names too,
making the page more personal to them.

Its there a link, to an example that i can
begin to modify for Version 7?

(I have looked).

The one i used orignaly was members asking
for a home page login.
Which i just used logged in or out part of it.
