why not just install MAMP ?

then run phpMyAdmin, which comes with.. create the DB...

restore the DB (that was backed up from your Tiger) to the Leopard empty one..

copy all the ubbthreads directories over..

edit the config.inc.php to reflect the new environment (usually small changes)

and voila..
