No, I'm sugguesitng you construct a tag for table that just handles the table tag; simply put, a user would put [table]content[/table] ... Then construct a seperate for tr and td and scold them if they don't nest properly;

While creating the regex to replace [ table ] with < table >, and so on, is simple enough
and not addressing my main point/query:
what about validating the actual table syntax to ensure the actual post/forum structure doesn't get violated?
Creating individual custom tags for TABLE, TR and TD
will not work. It's the same reason why you don't have separate tags for UL, OL and LI.
Scolding users for breaking the forum structure doesn't cut it either.
