Well I took a peek. I even registered.
One item is you have a forum image for almost every forum.
My math may be wrong since I did not check every image but you are over a mb on those forum images alone. Besides the regular images that are displayed.
Then add in unread topics that need to be built if you have a busy site. And if your isp is kinda slow that day???
But it looks okay to me right now.
