The user changed styles and all is OK. FYI UBB earlier versions, sometime prior to 7.X was by a company called Infopop. It may be the style was imported from Classic when upgrading to 7.1 in 2006.

Version was 7.1 to 7.5.6 as stated in the topic subject.

The style may have also been created to mimic the default style in classic as part of the upgrade. Before my time but we do have a style named Infopop2 that I thought was an old default.

UBBCodeâ„¢ tags allow you to add formatting (bold, italics) and other information (emails, URLs) to your messages without learning HTML!

Infopop is the originator of this simplified markup for message board posts. Although they are called UBBCodeâ„¢ tags, they work the same way whether you are using UBBâ„¢ software or the OpenTopicâ„¢ application. The name is a reference to Infopop's first product, the UBBâ„¢, for which the code was created in 1998.
