OK, I have to change my post. That was helpful in learning about ascending and descending settings in the forum settings. But, that wasn't quite the issue.
One can basically get to a thread in a number of ways. One if from the email notification, one is from going directly to the forum and selecting the thread, and the other is by selecting it on the Most Recent Posts. When doing so, you get these different results:
If you click on a link in an email notification, it will take you to the end of the thread where you can post.
If you click on a link in the MRP column, it will take you to the end of the thread as well.
If you click on a thread in listed in a forum, it will take you to that thread, but you will be at the top. You will have to scroll down to get to the most recent post in the thread.
Given that, we have ten Most Recent Posts in the MRP column. Clicking of nine of them takes you to the end of the thread. One of them takes you to the top of the thread, which is a little strange.
