Based on the access privileges you've set up on your forums, your member profiles pages cannot be viewed unless the user is logged in. So unless Google has an account on your website and is logging in, they will just receive an error page with a 404 error code.

1) Go to Control Panel >> Permissions | Groups >> Guests | Site
2) Put a "1" in the "Can view Member Profiles" box.
3) Click the update button at the bottom.

NOTES: At the time of this post, your forum version says you are on UBB.threads 7.5.8 (Released November 29th, 2013). The current version of UBB.threads is 7.6.0 (Released Febuary 15th, 2017).

Versions 7.5.8 and 7.5.9 use undesirable "SEO URL" formatting. The URL formatting is correct in all other versions of UBB.threads, post and prior.

Though, what most likely looks like the cause of this, is that somewhere along the indexing of your site, the "&" in your url was not escaped correctly by a third-party spider, and stored as a encode URI component ID with its "%" string dropped.

Do I have issues with files on my site?

Any help to lead me in the correct direction will be greatly appreciated.
You said, "server was down" -- Your server could have gone down for any number of reasons. Though what happens most often is that a service triggers a "fault" and then it attempts to restart itself. If it has too many attempts, it will just quit. This causes a domino effect, causing many other services to either do the same, or just fail. During this process, the server cpu load is high.
