Looks like I jumped the gun a bit here - disabled Cloudflare proxying and it appeared to solve the problem.

EDIT: Apparently it's an intentional limitation of the Cloudflare free plan - https://community.cloudflare.com/t/...ads-over-100-mb-without-any-error/769260
