I too am VERY interested in a PhotoPost integration. I was waiting to move my new but growing site to a host that had a database so that I could upgrade to UBB Threads. Now, with version 7 in development I decided to wait to make the move to UBB Threads but I purchased PhotoPost anyway. I don't mind the separate registration but a common registration and database would be the ultimate goal.
Short version: There are others that are interested in PhotoPost integration.
