Is there any way to do group based administration in UBB 5.45c either with a patch or native to UBB without requiring a forum password? Id like to set up a forum which only registered users can view, and which registered users should be able to enter and post in without doing anything more than entering their own username and password. I don't want them to have to enter an additional forum password.

If you want them to be able to enter ANY private forum, this would involve a bit of code hacking. There's no way to do it otherwise.

I just want to make a specific forum accessible to registered members only. They should not have access to all private forums, the the two or three that I want to let all registered users into.

Any solution to this ???

I have 2400 members in my board, and I'd like to have one particular forum to be accessed by members only ... and there's absolutely no way I'm going to set each of them one by one !!! lol

Any help will be greatly appreciated !!!

The only way I've seen it done is by setting a password for that forum and then tell people what the password was in the forum description they see on the homepae. Nasty kludge and it requires people to have to retype that damn password every time, which is why I posted this question.
