I dont own a UBB, but I often visit them.

A problem I have come across is the censorer censoring 'bad' words that come in the middle of proper words, for instance: In England there is a town called Scunthorpe, but you cannot type this, because of the 4-letter word in between 'S' and 'h' (I'm not sure if it will mean anything rude in the US)

The UBB control panel features allow the administrator to filter out anything CONTAINING the four letters, OR just the four letters when they appear on their own.

That IS a feature and it is up to the administrator to implement it.

To fix this problem the administrator of that particular message board just has to put { } curly brackets around that 4-letter word in the banned words box in the control panel.
