I'm running a 6.2.0, and lately i've noticed a bit of a cache problem. I have to clear cache to show new posts. Any ideas?

Are you running the php accelerator? I've noticed this on another forum that gets about 14,000 views/day. They sometimes have a delay in new posts updating on forum summary. I'm assuming it is something to do with the way the php accelerators and the cache work together.

C'mon guys, ya post frequently enough around here to know exactly what I'm gonna say now.. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

It is difficult, if not completely impossible to properly diagnose most UBB problems without knowing which version of the UBB you are using, as well as the FULL URL to your ultimatebb.cgi file, (NOT a link to your webpage). Please provide this information. Thanks. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I am running 6.2.0 at http://www.hallsofavalon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

I do not have the php accelerator going, and am still having this problem. A few people on my board have complained about this problem.... so I was wondering if I should submit a ticket to this or something?

Anytime somebody posts a new thread in some of my latest forums.... like the last 3-4 forums I created. Everytime they post there threads will not show up, until the cahce is cleared. I've tried to refresh, and that doesn't work. The only thing that works besides Clearing the Cache is if I Rebuild forum stat files, but cache is allot quicker.

I have had a couple of reports of this. I wrote it off as caching and I told them that it sometimes could take a few minutes because of the forum caching. I also noticed in my CP that I'm serving almost 40% of my views from the Accelerator. I was getting reports of this happening after Upgrading to 6.2, and enabled the Accelerator.

There is another site which uses UBB which some members reported the same behavior (This site serves almost 15,000 views/day from a Win2k box) and they are running 6.1.0.2 with the accelerator.

I just posted a new poll topic, and I am experiencing this behavior. I took screenshots of it. It seems to be new topics is when it happens most from what I have seen/heard.

It took me refreshing the page 2 or 3 times for the new topic to show on the forum summary.

I have personally seen this problem. I added a message and expected to see it immediately available in the forum. I got out of the BB and came back in a couple of times and the message was still not in the forum. I accessed the control panel and cleared the cache. After doing this, I saw the message.

I am running 6.2.0 and am NOT running the accelerator. My UBB is at http://www.firstcoastbmw.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi
