We have password protected forums for individual customer organizations. They post support questions and wait for someone to reply. When they get the reply notification in their email, they click the link, are prompted for a password, but are never taken to the post itself.
It seems that the process of providing the password is not retaining the requested post information.
This isn't a problem for administrators as they are never prompted for forum passwords, and the link takes them right into the post. It only affects regular users.
To duplicate: Create a non-administrative user. Create a password protected forum. Create a post as the non-administrative user in the password protected forum with reply notification on. Reply to the post as another user. Click on the link that is sent to the non-administrative user and proceed as normal (enter password, etc.)
Thanks, Tim

This isn't a problem with the email notifications, this is a bug in the URL Assembling in the UBB. I have a password protected forum, and when you direct link to a topic with a non-admin, and enter the password, it tries to goto ultimatebb.cgi/topic/5/0? instead of the topic number(replacing 5 with the forum number). *Edit* - Here's a patch I threw together on my boards: in Templatespublic_query_forum_pw.pl Find <input type="hidden" name="f" value="$in{f}" /> After it add <input type="hidden" name="t" value="$in{t}" /> in cgi-binubb_forum.cgi Find &Transition($ULTIMATEBB{"ubb=$in{last};f=$in{f}"}, "$vars_wordlets{forum_pw_confirmed}", "$this_forum[1]"); Replace with &Transition($ULTIMATEBB{"ubb=$in{last};f=$in{f};t=$in{t}"}, "$vars_wordlets{forum_pw_confirmed}", "$this_forum[1]");

Now one has to wonder if your patch counts as a hack in the eyes of Infopop should this chap need maintenance...

I don't think that will end up being the final patch, as I'll probably want to do some ON_COMPLETION_URL magic or something, but that's good enough for now.

I tested it on both the forum and topic and it didn't do anything odd if that helps any <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
