I'm having much the same problem as the person who posted with Classic having problems with Spam. I recently turned on the spider friendly URLS and ever since have been hammered repeatedly by spammers. How do I make this stop?

Unfortunately the only real way to get rid of spammers is to turn on user approval where you manually approve each user. At the very least you should have it so user's must verify their email before they can post. That way they are at least using a legit email so you can watch for patterns and ban email domains if necessary.
