I deleted a member (#8) and now this error is showing up in many places:

Member profile corrupt (blank): '00000008'

How do I get rid of this? Deleting a member should'nt produce errors like this...

Where exactly is the above error message appearing?

In addition you may have to delete the member file manually from the Members directory.

I deleted the member file and it's still occurring. The error shows up on people's "my profile" page, mixed in where the "Sent Private Messages" list is. With this error, I'm also getting many elements from the page mixed in - for instance:

- Incoming Private Messages
- Top ad banner (wrong background color)
- Sent Private Messages
- Board title graphic and top links, etc (wrong background color)
- "FYI": "Member profile corrupt (blank): '00000008'
» Please use your browser's back button to return." (wrong background color)
- The normal footer stuff (wrong background color)

I don't get it...

Go to https://www.ubbcentral.com/ - grab the "RebuildMems 6.1" script and use it.

After doing so, clear your UBB cache.

Thanks, Charles, but that didn't seem to work. This is the output I got:

Out of 810 members found, 809 were clean profiles. 10 profiles were placed in the Member Moderation Queue. 0 profiles were marked as invalid and have been moved into the noncgi/cache/temp/junk_profiles directory on your server. You should look at these files now.

The member in question (#8) has a 0-byte file size, and when I delete it, it comes back.

I don't know why "10 profiles were placed in the Member Moderation Queue" - these were all declined registrations. How can I remove them from the queue without sending them an email notice again?

Any other ideas?

In your Members' directory you should see sub-directories that begin with 'pm_', go into each directory and delete any 0K files that you find. After all corrupt files have been removed you will be able to delete your PM's.

There were no 0k files in any of the pm_ directories. Member #8 is the only member number that has a 0k file. When I delete it, and clear the cache it's gone. But when I simply load my Profile page, the 00000008.cgi file comes back, and it's 0k. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Go into the pm_users and delete any occurences of member 0000008.

I did that when I was checking for 0k files -- all 00000008 files were deleted...

Hi guys -

I opened up a support ticket and Jacob suggested I try un-doing the hacks (Avatars and Custom Ranks).

Well, I still don't know what caused the problem (it was still there after I undid the Avatars hack), but all was okay once I populated the 0k file of Member #8 that I wasn't able to delete. Go figure.

Thanks for your help, the hacks are back as is the 6.2 upgrade and so far so good...!
