question about chron jobs

The buy form says that you do not include the configuration/installation of cron tasks for UBB.threads with other host providers. I was wondering if it is necessary to have cron tasks installed and configured? Can these tasks be done manually through admin control panel? Thanks,

Actually, we need to update this. With the release of 7.0 we no longer use any cron jobs, so there is no extra configuration necessary in this area.
