Personally, I would like to see reported posts in a queue in the CP as opposed to an email. You could even have quick links to lock the topic via CP, move a copy to a mods forum, or even outright move the post/topic.

interesting ideas  Then the mod or admin would see a flshing indicator if there were alerts that affect them only

Exactly... I figure if people use one to check pm's, it could be used the same for notifications...
