Cleared the cache still the same.

If this is due to new styles needing to be uploaded
due to the upgrade, the upgrade script doesnt ask
or inform you to upgrade a style sheet.

I am having fun 7.02 -> 7.1.4b smile

There are new images for the posting buttons, so you'll need to make sure you upload the new images in the images/generic/default and default_dark directories. We can't check for these currently in the upgrade process because there is no way to compare version #'s on an image wink

/images/general/default_dark

They look strange in my setup as dark,
as the boarder of the "button" is the same as
the back ground.

Will try and sort that now.

Trying to find an example of the code used i
impoorted "ubbthreads_1"

When i clicked contiune, (Using FF for design work)
i revieved the following errors.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /xxxx/xxxxx.com/forum/admin/importstyle2.php(94) : eval()'d code on line 1

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /xxxx/xxxxx.com/forum/admin/importstyle2.php(101) : eval()'d code on line 1

Then the page auto refreshes and i recieve this one
on a blank screen.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ',' in in /xxxx/xxxxx.com/forum/styles/10.php on line 11

-----------
Anyways in my Style i found the correct style setting.
Style Settings/Post Properties/post-buttons

background: #252D8B;
color: #252D8B;
padding: 2px;

But i need a boarder ??
How do i add that as there is only the icon and
text the same colour as the background.

Any Examples please? grin

"border" covers top left right and bottom.
"border-left" "border-right" "border-top" "border-bottom" should cover the individuals.

Habbit frown (Dont like it when they go off the page). :end lol
But i can write really long ones, that can go on and on, but ive found that users with older displays see things so diffrent and any pre formatting has gone out the window with them, i guess it started with classic and kinda stuck, sorry just my way of writing posts.

border: 1px solid #FED51E;
color: #252D8B;
padding: 2px;

This is what i get. See Attached.

Customising the .css
Gizmo posted its seems to be ok now.

I originaly had

border-left: 1px solid #FED51E;
background: #252D8B;
color: #F8AC13;
padding: 2px;

So i changed the colours from what Gizmo posted in the
7.1 discussion thread.

border: 1px solid #FED51E;
font-size: 9pt;
font-weight: bold;
color: #357082;
background: #252D8B;
padding-left: 2px;
padding-right: 2px;
padding-bottom: 0px;

And it now seems okay In IE7 & FF smile

Yes, border effects all sides; whereas border-left, border-right, border-top, border-bottom, all effect individual sides.

It can be fun to tweak with hehe...

border-right: 2px solid #000000;
border-bottom: 2px solid #000000;

I recommend w3schools for anyone wanting to learn about CSS; i use them to look up various paramaters.

???

Don't think so as I still don't have images showing.

I also have WAY TOO BIG of ToolTip fonts on mouse-over. The fonts are black and the tool-tip mouse-over is black so can't read it either.

Using he Koniro style sheet as the default and it worked well before.

Well I suppose it must be the Styles folder or some other location as once caching dies out there are only links now and no image buttons.

Viewing source page seems to show the folder is correct

src="/forums/images/general/default_dark/toggle_open.gif"

You'll want to edit the style. Misc. Properties - .popup_content.

Here's an example that I grabbed out of one of mine:

Code
background: #ffffff;
font-size: 9pt;
color: #000000;
border: 1px solid #999999;
padding: 0px;

Also for your new images not showing, the local browser cache needs to be cleared.

No, they go in /images/general/ not /images/forumimages.
(BTW - Rick meant images/general rather than images/generic)

If you look at the images on this forum, such as this [Linked Image] which replaces the [Linked Image from gangsterbb.net] button, you'll see that they're located in /forums/images/general/default/*.gif

GangsterBB.NET (Ver. 7.6.1.1)

I also played with the special link properties to get the post buttons to show the hover with a different background and link color inside.

You may want to consider importing the ubbcentral style sheet for 7.1 as a guide.

You can find it in the Forum Styles section.

okay posted to here and still see no button images.
Have cleared all cookies, caches, etc.

So as Harold says I suppose I have to edit .CSS as part of the upgrade process (well that is not smooth for an upgrade)

Thanks Mark.

Just sort of sucks that I have to modify the CSS in the first place on an upgrade that is only 1 beta behind.

If you go to post properties, post buttons in the style you need to add as stated. This is the code Rick used for this default style sheet here. Starting with beta 4 they are no longer using images for buttons.

border: 1px solid #AFC2C7;
font-size: 9pt;
font-weight: bold;
color: #357082;
background: #FFFFFF url('http://www.yoursite.com/ubbthreads/styles/images/ubbthreads/header_grad.gif');
padding-left: 2px;
padding-right: 2px;

Hmmm... Okay.

Default Style sheet the image buttons work correctly.

The Kornio style sheet has no buttons anymore.
