Personally, i'm enjoying 7.1 ever so much. My Journey has been a rough one but glad that i'm hear now. Classic -- >> Threads Web host would not allow a mysql of +100mb So i had to leave and get my own dedicated server. Luckly enough i have a friend in the industry and pointed me in the right direction and helped me set it up and get it on line. As a complete nooobie at this, it was grey hair and frustration at levels i hadnt experienced before. But it eventually got easier. Classic --->> to new server  Classic --->> to threads And now almost 6 months down the line, i'm so happy with everything now, and help from friends and the occasional Gizmo and Rick. I'm there and proud of it. So you can see, i have personally been to hell and back to keep within the ubb frame work. But glad i'm hear.... As battery dies on laptop, and my little story comes to an end. Got board for the first time this week and its only Monday lol

Dont panic the image of Gizmo will be removed
from my signature as soon as i know what's happening?
As i assumed images wernt allowed in signatures?

Images can be allowed in signatures should the admin wish them to be... It's an option in Master Settings -> Feature Settings -> General tab -> Allow [img] tag in signatures?

Dave is a knob, that is all ... Mark, I used to, up until a week ago, have an image in my sig at UBBDev; they've always been there, just not always allowed on every UBB7 forum; you can disable them, and i believe they're disabled by default.

I've been called worse, however. That's one I don't mind at all. I mean, I do own a Vette. I guess it fits.
I used the Gimp on that pic Gizz. It's not exactly user friendly. I can redo it at home sometime where I have more user friendly art software.

Gimp works on a mac and is free. Photoshop costs more than all the fancy chrome junk on my vette. I have no art skills..... you know which one I'm going to use.

Harold, look for gimpshop. It's more friendly. You'll need X11 installed too, but that should be on your CD. If not you can download it from apple.com

BTW, I do rather enjoy mac's... but sometimes theres things i need to use in WinBlows... Which is why I haven't made the jump to Linux completely (where I do prefer it)...
For instance, the MMORPG i play (The Realm Online) we can't get working under WINE; however I have heard of people getting ChoiceMail One running under WINE...

I've considered switching off Windows, but I just haven't put in the effort to really commit. I might take another look at a few distros after I get an extra box back up and running. All that I really need is an email and FTP client and a few browsers.

Maintenance is really easy anymore...
Examples:
Gentoo - Comes with "emerge", installing is a breeze, example: emerge MythTV
CentOS/Fedora - Both RedHat builds, CentOS is the equivelant to RedHat Enterprise however; both come with "yum", which is used much as emerge on Gentoo, only they're both more user friendly for install and usage. Ex: yum install utility, yum upgrade utility
