I believe that it SHOULD look like "t_standard" looks in the cp, since it utilizes that table...

I do get the same issue... Interesting; could you email me your style and I'll take a look at it? It's james[at]virtualnightclub[dot]net, I'm not sure exactly how long i'll have to work on it over the weekeend though...

Seems you're trying to set the border width to .5px which IE just won't have; tried it with a value of 1 and it works fine.
Edit your ".t_standard" class and update it and you should be golden.

Thanks very much Gizmo. Golden.  Editing ".t_standard" fixed the issue with the border around the online status. To fix the the missing borders on the top and bottom of the post buttons, I needed to increase the padding in .post-options.
