Heh, reminds me of some clinical trials I took part in many years ago.
It was during the development of the original Police 'intoximeter' which they use to test for drink drivers.
Half the study group had to drink a third of a pint of neat vodka and the other half drank a placebo (water)
...and we and the doctors weren't supposed to know who was drinking what
oh bloody hell - laugh!
And I got paid £150 for doing that - three times!!!
