Mark, from Orlando it's not so loud, but loud enough so that you know it HAS to be loud there. We're about 70 miles away (I think). Driv, you're right about Aussies going to England being a rite of passage. So many do it because they can make it a working holiday. Not so in the U.S., because it's illegal to work here without a permit. I've been to England too, but when I was a little girl.

We can get rid of the Ozzies after 2 years.
But most of them just get married so they can hang around.

Driv, you're right about Aussies going to England being a rite of passage. So many do it because they can make it a working holiday. I know so many Aussies - most of them either work in gyms or pubs. (Not meaning to stereotype.) But that's cool. You guys have a real 'upbeat' attitude towards life. The guys in my gym are the *best* personal trainers I've ever met. They are genuinely into what they do. I've been to England too, but when I was a little girl. Any happy memories?

I only barely remember it, driv. But I'd like to go again one day. I'm actually a British citizen because I was born in Scotland. My parents moved to Australian when I was four.

dirv - This thread will never die as long there is a Gizmo. Pull yu pants up then lol... HEH! Ian, here's a great "feel better" recipe for the flu. - Juice from about 3 or 4 lemons - Couple of tablespoons of honey - Two asprin crushed up - A shot of whiskey - Top it all up with hot water in a big glass It doesn't cure it, but it'll make you feel better for a bit. It'll help with the 44 Magnum thoughts anyway. Some tea with a lot of sugar will do much the same thing ... It's the lliquor, sugar and vitamen C ... Though too much liquor and sugar will give you one hell of a hangover... isn't mooning an offence at work? Sunning isn't half bad either ... How do you moon "properly"? Now that is something i have seen woman do lol dibs! Page 8 #70 of #73 lol... Breaking News:
A judge orders Paris Hilton back to jail, CNN confirms. She was taken from court screaming, The Associated Press reports wonder how long she'll stay this time... :flex: and i'm already back! LOL poor Gizmo .. he must feel like the world has ended. His servers have been down for weeks not it seems I bet he is having convulsions right now.. Gizzy we feel for ya brother still shaking in a corner... "Gizmo fasten your seat belt and stop messing around" you heard all taht? ... Not a lot of us apparently. I believe less than 100,00. I <3 aussies...

Giz, I don't get it. You could have added 10 posts to your count .. but you chose to put it all in one. Is this a therapy type thing?

They didn't go there in a boat with stripy shirts ?? which brings back memories of watching a local news report in Perth, during the test match - with the England supporters singing to the tune of Yellow Submarine ' You all live in a convict colony, a convict colony' - I was amazed the local news showed it - guess they have a sense of humour

Now I have that tune with the new words running in my head. You guys are going to make start a quest for a good cottage pie recipe. I had that at the English area at EPCOT and I loved it.

Neat. I almost stumped an expert. My day is fine. Got up at 4AM, had roasties for breakfast and should consider having a bath today. Also fed the dogs, ducks, checked our swine, and oiled the clippers so my wife can give me an uneventful haircut. Hat head is SO out of style now a days.

Auntie Bessies chemically enhanced crap? Oh dear God no..... Real Roasties....Skin the spuds Parboil for 5-8 mins. Drain, shake & bruise with flour MAJOR EDIT - My wife has just told me... You should put a roasting tray/ pan into the oven for 15 mins first, so that the oil is hot. This helps give the spuds the 'correct' colour and consistency.
What the heck do I know?Roast for 1hr 20-30 mins with a clove of garlic.... Even these don't look anyware near as good as my missus does. Looks like they aven't been bruised - says me, the guy who can't boil water.....

Sorry. I was led to believe that roasties were shredded potato with scrambled egg mixed in. The guy that told me was either French or English. I can't remember which.
