Why is the NEWS icon now gone when writing a new post ?
It was there for V7.2.1 but is now missing since updating to 7.2.2 and I have3 made no changes to the forum at all ?

Something in this version removed a new post being set with a NEWS icon ?

Nothing changed in the update for this. The only thing that controls if the news icon is selectable is if the forum is selected as one of your news forum in the portal section of the CP.

try re-uploading it in binary - also does the image appear for existng news items - if it doesn't then the image could well be corrupted.

If you want it for posts as well, then re-upload it to the appropriate directory via your CP.
