I finally got my UBB Classic board imported to threads, at least on my other site. However, on the old classic board I was able to protect forums with more adult content with a password. Is that possible with Threads?

I'm afraid I'll be making a lot of posts asking questions like why anything with the IMG tags when imported show up as bb code instead of as the picture and can I have an imagine in the header and annoying questions like that laugh

Make a special group and let only the members in that group you wish. No need to have passwords that can be given to non authorized users via email or PM.

Thanks. I was afraid of that. I imported my UBB classic and it has over 5000 members who, over the years (I created the board in 2001), have written for a password and now how do I find out who those members are in order to put them in a group?

Maybe I'm just tired, but it took 7 hours to import all the threads (28,000+ and 215,000+ posts) and when it's all done there's no way to put up the old passwords to the forums, the IMG tags show instead of the images, if I pick a size for the avatars, all the avatars are bloated or squished to fit those parameters, there's no option to uncheck to let the avatars be a bit more free wheeling. Maybe leaving the spaces blank? I had to create a database in MySQL? I think the most technical thing I had to do with the classic board was set permissions on certain scripts and the FTP program was able to do that.

Like I said, I'm probably just tired, but this has turned into UBB Vista for me so far frown

I had the avatar problem too and had to make changes in one of the forum display files removing the width and height stuff.

I have no idea how you would know who had access to that area other then going through and finding the member names.

Thanks for your help. I looked at your boards, they're really nice. Great color schemes. I have no clue how to put up a banner on my Threads board, but I've been changing up the color schemes. I guess it's shaping up.Thanks again for helping me out.

You can do this on a forum by forum basis, but very quickly...

Admin CP >> Display Options >> General || HTML Includes

Drop the banner code into the 'Default Header' section. smile

Thanks, Driv. I'm on that screen, but I don't know what a "body onload" tag is.

It's ok, you can safely ignore that smile
Just drop the HTML banner code in the HTML includes section.

Something like
HTML

<img src="http://www.example.com/banner.gif" width="468" height="60" border="0" alt="banner">
