Lol, 2 1 star reviews and 3 5 stars  ... I wonder who hates me so much :x... (figured amount of votes and such by me having 2 5 stars, then dropping to a 3 then another 5 star brought me to 4 then another 1 dropped me to a 3 again lol)

Well you could really stir things up a bit by letting a user see in their profile who rated them and what score they gave. :lol: :fight:

You know what!
I don't even look at the stars anymore.
When I evaluate a user's suggestions I look at the profile.
My considerations are how long has been registered and how many posts.
I probably am a bad example but that is what I do.
Gizmo FORGET ABOUT IT AND DON'T LOOSE SLEEP OVER IT!!!!
BTW in the reply it shows you have 5 stars(BUG)

I do agree though as per other posts. I don't really have a need or use for the stars but some users do. If there is an issue just demote the rights or ban them. Or come up with some other method to rate users. I respect you opinion even though I disagree at times(I Know you don't prefer windows servers) with your answer but still you are here and support idiots like me that have no clue sometimes what they are doing. Because I know Rick does not have the time to address all of us all the time. So Hats off to you and all you do.
And I rated you a 5 on the stars! So it wasn't me that demoted your stars.

Yep maybe Rick changed something not in the changelog that altered how the stars are calculated.
But hey RICK is still 5.
And I am running out of people to rate with stars.
I just noticed on topic ratings you can see I guess how many voted but not on users.
No I guess you can view number of ratings you just need to open the profile of the user.

DRIV I just voted you a 5 and I see no change yet. Why, thank you sir For me... 5+1+5=(11/3)=3.66r which either means 3 or 4 stars depending on how the star system is calculated. I prefer to think that people 'accidentally' click on the 1 star option (rather than the alternative). I will admit to having done this on sites where you vote for a script. There, however you can go back the next day and rectify the issue by voting again. Here, if you accidentally vote 1 instead of 5 - you are buggered. I wonder how feasible it would be to add an edit function to the voting system? In a similar fashion to regular posts, the original poster could be allowed 24 hours to 'cool off' or just realise they have voted incorrectly. Just a thought

In fact I think it's only just been 'activated' with this release. BTW - A retrospective of voters identities would probably cause a minor war I think that if people want to be identified (with regards to who they vote for), it should be announced from the outset.

Not that big a deal but the algorithm used for the rating system is not very forgiving so take it with a grain of salt.

Yes I know we are just have some fun with the stars because they started changing all of a sudden. I guess from a prior post on this topic, The rating was turned off for quite some time and now is enabled again
