This would work for me, before Gizmo jumps on me lol... Disabling Post counts for individual Forums? When i'm on forums, you like to think (Not always true) that a decent post count, is retrespective to there contributions. That works great in the ideal world. On my forums we have a "In Forum Entertainment" section where members can chill, and play the word games etc. So its not uncommon to see a user do +50 posts in there a day, on a NEXT WORD GAME. But over time that person has a huge post count, as appose to someone who posts content and not crap. Yes its often abused, How would you like a blonde bimo to be your top poster for the week lol... So I would like to rally the option within the forum set up options to disable post counting. Then this would tie in with "Postcount Group Access" or simular Post count related options. Just My thoughts Dont visit this forums general "Temptaion" Thread i will loose at least 100 post lol or more. But i guess you can see what im getting at. (I'm going to commision the Discovery Channel Mythbusters to see if it makes any diffrence to how people are effected emotionally. And that's a joke)

Posts Don't Count unlimited and No PostCount Forums I believe they where referanced to as mod's at UBBDev and ThreadsDev; both of which I quite enjoyed actually; great sugguestion.
I see it as a very good use for forums that play games, or are quite general in nature, such as our "Open Chat" forum here.

I come from the school that says all posts should count - if you have the forums for people to post, then why should their post count be affected by some forums?

I think that if the group by post count was ever implimented, then Disable Post counts per forum would be hot on its heels as a request, as it would make any post by group a bit pointless.
What's Posts Count unlimited?

I used to be that way too Ian until somone created a topic called person above. Just nice to have the option, as in Language files, i doubt i would use them, but a great option within the product.

LOL - I have a post counting to a million - I really am not worried if they are posting on that thread or any other thread in the Jukebox' as it means that they are using the site - and they will also be posting on other forums

Posts Don't Count Unlimited and PostCount Disabled Forums both just simply didn't increase the users postcount, they where seperate modifications from UBBDev and ThreadsDev.
Also, i should mention that there is a Posts Don't Count hack on UBBDev right now for 7.1.

Agreed.. this would be another great feature to have. I had that hack installed on my UBB.c forum.
Stress the system until it breaks. Hey.. it works for Spacecraft.. why not here? UBB since 1999: MonteCarloSS.com

Is it correct there is no default way to exclude any forum counting for the postcount? I was looking for that option since I have a general chatter forum, which I would like to exclude.

Edit the forum details; deselect the "Posts Count" option; now posts in the forum do not count towards a users postcount.
I'm not sure when this was added, but it is present in 7.5.1

There you go. Learn something new every day. Never noticed that option and it is on by default. But I think it still counts posts just does not add to user post count.
I would never use it though.
