Couple things here. First and main one. Wwearing every other word to try and get your point across isn't helping your cause. The people that volunteer to help on the forums are less likely to assist.

Second, for matters of support that you deem urgent, you can open a support ticket.

Third and to answer your question:

You can change the font colors for the forum titles by going into the Category/Forum properties section of the Style Editor. Click the .forumtitle class and then click the Special Link Properties and you can add your font/color settings in the boxes that show up.

For the subject titles, you go into the Forum Summary Properties section, click on the .topicsubject and then click the Special Link Properties and do the same.

I just logged out and cleared the cache. Nothing changed

I'm trying to make my skin:

http://www.demongov.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/forum_summary

Look like this:

http://web.archive.org/web/20040401115203/www.libertyforum.org/wwwthreads.php?Cat=

(the page loads slow but it works, just wait until it loads)

The Font Colors of the Forum Titles and Subject Titles in that archived page are blue

color: #000088;

I just changed it to blue, per your instructions.

And nothing changed

Which style did you add the changes to? I see you have multiple styles and I don't see the additions on the default one when looking directly at your .css file. It looks like there might be changes to the hover color, but not the link and visited link sections.

Also forgot to mention on the topicsubject one you'll need to do the same for the alt-topicsubject new-topicsubject and new-alt-topicsubject.

But I'd start with just working on the .forumtitle one for the forum titles until you get the hang of how it's changed.

I do see that the color has been set to #000088; for the forum title, but not the special link properties. There are 4 boxes that you'll want to fill in when you click the special link properties:

Unvisited Link
Visited Link
Active Link
Hover Link

If nothing changed that tells me that something is overriding it

Ok, I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Forum Description changed to blue

I did not want that. I wanted the Forum Title and Subject Titles changed to blue

Not the Forum Descriptions

I think I see what you mean. You'll want to change the default color for the .forumtitle back to the default #000000. The color specified there applies to everything in that table cell, not just links.

You only want to specify the blue color for the 4 special property boxes I mentioned above.

The DemonGov Skin

I'm trying to make it look like this:

http://web.archive.org/web/20040401115203/www.libertyforum.org/wwwthreads.php?Cat=

(The page loads slow, but it does work. Just wait until it loads)

Ok, I did what you said. It looks blue now.

But the Forum Description also looks blue (I want it black)

I went to Category/Forum Properties

.forumdescript

It had no color, so I made it black

#000000;

It still looked blue so I added it black also in the Special Link Properties there. It still looks blue

Well I keep playing the Lottery every week. If I win the Lottery, I'll pay you guys to do this for me.

But that is a longshot

If you want to open up a basic support ticket and provide admin info, then I'll make the changes for that section and then you can do the same for the others once you see how it's done.

It looks like a very dark blue

Something is wrong

I have the old CSS file of this archived site

That blue there, of the Forum Titles and Subject Titles, is this blue: color: #000088;

Here is the Old CSS File of that archived site:

You're close. You still have the main forumtitle set to blue as well:

background: #F4EAD7;
color: #000088;
padding: 2px;
padding-left: 4px;
padding-right: 4px;

You need to change the color back to #000000;

The way it is now it's applying that blue color to everything in the table cell.

Ok, great. For the subject titles on the main page, you'll want to do the same thing for the .posttime class.

One sec on the proper font, will see if I can figure it out.

It looks like it gets the standard font settings from the body,tr,td settings, so:

verdana,arial,sans-serif

Thanks. That is for the Forum Title only?

Not the forum description?

For some reason, the blue color is off. It's as if it is mixing the black and blue together

I did the same thing for the subject titles that I did for the forum titles

The subject titles are not working

if I open up a basic support ticket, you think you can do something in 10 minutes in there?

I don't want to waste too much of your time

I understand that you have more important things to do

Yeah, go ahead and open up a basic support ticket. I'll be tied up for about the next half hour, but will take a look as soon as I'm done.

This is the first time I ever started a support ticket.

Couple of things. The .posttime didn't have the special link properties filled in, they were still blank.

On the actual post subjects you had the special link properties filled in, but with just:

#000088;

instead of:

color: #000088;

On the main portal page that's controlled by the tdheader class. You can assign that color, #0000FF to the special link properties for that under General CSS Properties.

Same problem I had before

It's like a very dark blue, as if the blue and black are mixing

I did what you said

General CSS Properties

.tdheader

Special Link Properties

color: #000088;

It's not working

Ok, for that it's not links so it's the standard color. You'll want to edit the color property for:

Post Properties -> .subjecttable

Thank you Rick and Ruben

Right now in the Post Properties > .subjecttable

The Special Link Properties has:

color: #7F7F7F;

I just looked that color up, and it's grey

I just changed it to blue

color: #0000FF;

Nothing changed

Same thing

Ok now I changed the .subjecttable to blue

(not just the special link properties)

Now the New Reply is Blue

And the Subject Title is Blue

But the Topic Options and Manage Topic is Black

How do I make the New Reply Black

And keep the Subject Title Blue ?
