I goofed - uploaded the full build of 7.5.6p2 instead of the patch 12-ubbthreads-7-5-6p2 (just didn't see it).

Getting an error when running upgrade.php:

SQL Error: Database error only visible to forum administratorsSQL Error: Database error only visible to forum administrators
Fatal error: Call to undefined function upgrade_header() in /home/byzcatho/public_html/forums/install/upgrade.php on line 67

upgrade_header.tmpl and upgrade_header.tmpl.php were both uploaded in the install directory.

Ideas? Thanks!

Well,
First question is what was your version before you uploaded 7.5.6p2.
Second question is did you exclude all the special folders for upgrading?
The reason I ask is there may not be a need to run the upgrade script.
So you may be able to recover from it fairly easy.
I don't know what your dbase error is though.
Unless you uploaded all the files and overwrote some files you should not have. Like config.inc.php.
I hope you have a backup of your files from before?
The dbase probably is okay.

Last question is did you run upgrade.php or actually install.php.

Ruben,

Yes. Many thanks! You were correct - I overwrote config.inc.php and everything else in /includes without thinking (even as I had the instructions before me). It really underscores the need to backup before you start the upgrade. Files restored. All is functioning now as it was before.

[I was at 7.5.6 and intended to upgrade to 7.5.6p2.]

Looking forward to 7.6!!

Jake

Good deal then you could just do the patch then.
It is only like 5 files.
