Is it just me, or is it way to quiet around here. The fever to roll out 7.6 seems to have cooled. I was really excited about the new functionality coming, but now am getting concerned about threads future viability in general with the lack of progress. Does anyone have any insight as to 7.6 delivery or even if there is a future here. I have been a loyal subscriber since 2003 and getting real concerned.

It is, SD is more than likely running everything through a fine comb while finishing up to hopefully help reduce time in beta

I don't need the updater -- I just want a new version of UBB.
Sadly my company had to switch to a different package but I would like to run a forum on my own (with my lifetime license) Just waiting for the update.

Aye my devs are waiting for a newer version as well. I will have to convince them that staying with UBB is still the better option. It is getting more difficult to fight this fight. Many times since the switch over I have seemed a bit wracked..and definatly out of sorts than my usual posts, however, in my defense I spend a lot of time defending my decision to stick with this program, and I am starting to run out of time.

Well, it's not a "drop in", trust me, you need the updater to go anywhere with any version; it preforms all of the necessary operations to make your current forum work with the new fields added to the database and to change your old stored data to work with the new database structure.

I'm scared to death thinking about how many of my mods (hacks?) are going to disappear with the new version. And loss of graphics, icons, etc. Heck just a couple of my Custom Islands were a significant effort.
I guess that I'll have to check, recheck and check again.... and the Users will STILL find something that didn't come over properly. You know how it is..... arghhhhhh......

Mods are a concern. But islands are islands and they should be okay. As far as icons, avatars they should be okay also.

When I go and change icons I just make a duplicate of the default dark directory and set the style to use th enew directory, then no upgrades touch my icons...

Thanks... but......
You KNOW that SOMETHING is going to get missed. :-) I don't mind finding something that is not working properly.
It's the ones that don't show up for a week or two that are annoying. By then I've moved on and need to go back to find the original data.
Not complaining - just trying to talk myself into an upgrade mood. And besides, I'll probably give you guys a 2 months head-start to debug it for me. Ha ha.... Let the early birds begin!!!!
