My admin priviledges have been modified on some of my individual forums, like town hall, and I am not able to change them back, one of the other admins has tried as well.
Any idea how to fix this? Some of the mods are not able to edit their forums anymore.
What I see is an unchecked box for admin, I check it, save it, check it again and the box is unchecked. this is for a number of options, ie move, respond to post, deleted etc etc.
have tried clearing the cache..
What is the command to repair database? Am sure I have done that before. that is done in the CP of the UBB Forum, correct?
OK here is a picture of mine,, I am still not able to change permissions..
I could be doing something else wrong, but can not figure that out, as soon as I go to update permission after changing it to a 1 it flips back to zero.
I am updating in the phpmyadmin section, when I check to see if it is changed via UBBadmin CP it shows it is changed.. then any modification in the it reverts back to the can not edit or move perferences.
I checked the admin php section on the server and the files have not been altered, I thought maybe someone got in. We were having an issue with some members on us editing and moving posts that were in the wrong area. then I was not able to edit or move. seemed suspicious to me, but could have just been the timing.
I am seeing these errors, could that be related? [31-Aug-2012 23:10:11 UTC] PHP Warning: Unknown: Input variables exceeded 1000. "That's a new setting / value in PHP (related to a security update to prevent attacks to PHP scripts)"
This, coupled with the fact that you can't edit the table in phpMyAdmin would lead me to believe (rightly or wrongly) that it's time to contact your host to see if there is a block in place.
Yes, that PHP setting is your problem; you'll have to have your host correct it. There is a post here some time ago that Rick was involved in that was similar.
