Hi - I was wondering if someone here could help me with embedding a video uploaded to photobucket? Need to get the HTML code that is compatible with UBB Threads. I'm running version Version: 7.5.8
The photobucket HTML snippet is below:
<embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf"?flashvars="file=http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j427/alexdavisnevsky/th_TACH0015D_zps0a44f251.mp4"&title=></embed>
The above doesn't work. Many thanks in advance for some assistance on this. I've had your board software for 12 years now and like it.

Hey Scott, what does the URL look like on the page you're viewing the video; I want to see if it has a variable in it.

Gizmo - Thanks for responding. That link is below: http://www.xt225.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=128423&#Post128423This will get you to a test post that fails on the photobucket video. It says URL or file not provided but this works on another site so it's good. If you need any further details please let me know. Thanks again for the help. Best - Scott PS: How is Rick doing? Hope all is well with everyone.

Well he can't get there from it. It appears that html posting works. What he wants is the actual url to the video. http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j427/alexdavisnevsky/th_TACH0015D_zps0a44f251.mp4If posted as html: it would be: <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid1085.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fj427%2Falexdavisnevsky%2FTACH0015D_zps0a44f251.mp4&title="> Not what you posted in the first post.

I added a new custom tag over at UBBDev, see: PhotoBucket Video - Custom Tag

Gizmo - Thanks for the instructions. I imported the code via the custom tag prompts. No problems there. I've used the "direct" link provided by photobucket which substitutes into your markup. It results in an mp4 file reference. No luck. It says loading video but then just a blank screen. I also pasted in your markup directly and the same situation. I'm assuming HTML needs to be active which it was. Also your example post doesn't display the video for me either.
My SmugMug videos display fine with their iframes tag. I haven't a clue what's going on with this??? ARRRGH.
Here it is below:
<embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid1085.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fj427%2Falexdavisnevsky%2FTACH0015D_zps0a44f251.mp4&title=">
I guess I don't have HTML on this board. Perhaps you could paste the above in a response to see if video displays.

Well I tried the PB tag and same file on another site and it worked flawless. IT is the same ubb version 7.5.8 as yours. I registered on your site but am waiting on approval.

Ruben - I reached out to my friend on a windows 10 system with a current player and the video does, indeed, play from this thread. I'm on Linux with a FF browser so I'm smelling issues with that.
I may have accidentally deleted your registration owing to "N/A" in the bike type field. Sorry about that as I get SPAM there and didn't know you'd be registering. If possible, please register again and put UBBThreads in the bike type so I know it's you. I've performed the tag upload and have a photobucket option in the video button. Thanks for going the distance on this!
I have HTML enabled for the commercial permissions group which I will include you in. Sorry for the glitch.

Ruben - I processed your registration. You have "commercial" permission so HTML should work for you. Skip all the registration BS and do what you need to with posting. At the end of the forum lists (very bottom) I have a BBS Questions/Problems which might be a good place to test. Again thanks for the assistance. Let me know if you need anything else on this.

I posted in the generic forum. New member due to it was the only forum I could. Works fine. Delete as needed.

Ruben - Thanks for posting this and the assistance. I think the problem is solved. Any further issues remain with O/S, player and browser platforms. Not with the BBS software. Take care.
