I have all of the files uploaded per the instructions.
"/templates/default/viewpoll.tpl" is not part of the 7.6.0 package that I downloaded this morning.
At first, the 'Check Files' portion of the upgrader argued that I had the wrong version of "/templates/default/viewpoll.tpl". Fine, so I grabbed a copy of 7.5.9 and pulled "/templates/default/viewpoll.tpl" from it and uploaded that. It now tells me that All files are uploaded and all files report proper version number, but the following files need to be removed: "/templates/default/viewpoll.tpl". So, I remove that file, it then tells me that not all files have been uploaded and I'm now missing "/templates/default/viewpoll.tpl", lol! Wash, rinse, repeat!
Could someone please remove Sybil from the Upgrade Script, please?

The installer is going through the automated steps of upgrading you from 758 => 759 =>760. Its a very old installer process that assumed you would be going from one version to the next higher version, to the next hire version. Instead of just from your current version, to the latest version. Im not sure why the original developers ever wrote it that way, since it really "dumps" on any new developer trying to clean up old, outdated and unused files.
I've added your bug report to my notes of things that need to be fixed. For UBB.threads 7.6.1, this will be corrected.
Right now, I'm stuck. If the file is there, it tells me I need to delete it; if it isn't there, it tells me I need to upload it.... circular.

yup. give me a second to put together a file which you can just drop in to your installer directory (overwriting your old one). I'll attach it here for you.

THOUGH --- I believe that if you just have it "check the files again", without changing anything...
1) it will check for the 7.5.9 files, when doing its 7.5.8 => 7.5.9 process 2) then it will remove the 7.5.9 files when doing its 7.5.9 => 7.6.0 process. 3) take you to the next step past this.
I thought that it might try that and have been hitting 'Check Files Again'. Even granting the what amounts to 0777 to that whole folder still keeps me in a loop.
If I completely reload upgrade.php with the 7.5.9 viewpoll.tpl in place, when it does its initial File Check it actually reports is as missing and needing to be deleted on the same screen.

Drop this attached file in to your install/ directory, overwriting the old one.
Trying this now.....

Isaac, it didn't work for me when I had this issue with: /languages/english/admin/login.php
Driv, also use this file. We got your back, here and on DEV
The only persons have these issues are the ones coming from 758 and older. This attached file resolves the "login" and "viewpoll" file issues.
It comes up because they were part of the group of files that are no longer used. We're trying to clean things up, and have a more polished product. But unfortunately, with most major updates such as this, issues fly under the radar. Gizmo and myself never caught the issue, nor did any of the other three people testing the snapshot builds.
it happens. i apologize. but now that its presenting itself, we can take care of it.
It's still looking for it.... should I remove the line from LANGUAGE_CHANGES.txt looking for viewpoll.inc.php?
If it is there, it removes it just fine and clears it from the lower box saying that it needs to go, but it remains in the upper box saying that it needs to be uploaded.

Nevermind.... there is no line for viewpoll.in.php. That filename does show up in the 'Changed Files' list on the initial screen, however.
scripts/viewpoll.inc.php

I know mate, and it is appreciated.
Thank you for also bringing up the "login" file issue. The installer script in the archive within the Member Area has been updated with PrplPplEater and your issues resolved. Excellent job. Thank you!

LANGUAGE_CHANGES.txt should not be looking for anything within viewpoll.inc.php That language change file only deals with language files, not libraries or scripts
