Hi friends,
A long, long, long time ago our board had a problem where you would have to log in twice. It turned out that the original URL would redirect to a similar one, but it would not bring the credentials with it.
I don't think the board has that issue, and they log in from different places even among the same person. Or I would be hearing about it.
I, on the other hand, constantly have to log in. Is there someting I am doing wrong?
Thanks.
Bert

It looks like you're only allowing logins from: http:/amazingcharts.com/
Which should stop the cross domain cookie issue that you where having before, assuming that your full URL is also "http://amazingcharts.com/".
I don't understand however why your subject is "Saving password", are you having password issues?
If you're having problems logging in, are you having the same issues here? What browser are you using? IE and Edge still don't like how we set a lifetime for cookies and don't respect the "remember me" setting.

Thanks. I seem to be doing better with a shortcut that has a slightly different URL. But, I will see. It's hard to tell here, because I rarely log in here.
It was about password, because it was remembering the password, but then it wasn't remembering my username either. I will see if this works for a bit.

The behavior of saving the password, which does the auto population of your login details, is through your web browser.

I see now. I guess I was confused due to the issue we had with our board about seven years ago. The one URL would redirect to another URL, and you would have to log in again. Suggestions from here fixed it. I was quite the hero at AC. It had been a problem for six months.
I am rather sure my browsers all accept cookies.
Dumb question: AC will ask if you want to be remembered, hence your login and password auto populate. But, here it says, do you want to stay logged in? But, if I just close the browser without logging out, and I have that checked, I don't show as being online? That would be crazy.

Asking to be remembered has nothing to do with the population of your login details; again, this behavior is controlled by your webbrowser.
"Remember Me" sets your cookie's "lifetime" to 0 (which in most browsers is forever, Edge differs), otherwise it should set the cookie lifetime to the setting in the control panel (you can see the switch in the do_login routine in /libs/html.inc.php)
There have been significant changes since your build, v7.6.0 is a major rewrite.
