hey guys, long time no see! Finally moving off the old server, onto a new one. Still running 759.. but did purchase so I can update it to the latest, AFTER I resolve a small issue. mySQL on both old and new server. both IIS, one 2003, one 2012r2. All else is well... other migrations have gone well. I can move the threads DB from one server to the other, and copy all the existing php files, folders, and everything... but SOMEWHERE... it's storing some of the most basic settings (like direct paths, etc)... and I can't find them. any ideas?

Thanks! That's awesome... I hadn't found that file yet, in spite of seeking out any files that had been changed recently... (deliberately made a change, to force a file write)
While I am typing, if I had a choice of these three PHP versions, which would you recommend? (it didn't like v7.1.7) 5.3.28 5.6.31 7.1.7 (it gave errors about old code)
thx!

Requirements are:
PHP 5.4 - 5.6 MySQL 5.5+
When editing the config.inc.php file there are several lines with paths. As long as you get the first 7 or so lines. Plus the sessions and cache path The rest can be done in the control panel. But they all must be done one method or the other.
I would also suggest that when viewing paths in the cp that you save even if they first appear correct. That will ensure that paths that are stored in the db are written to the tables not just the config file..

awesome, thanks. yes, got all the changes in the config file, and it all came up fine. The database migration tool in the new MySQL was awesome for that. Unfortunate that they took the backup out of the workbench... :-(
running the upgrades now to 761 and 7611
not topical here... but anyone have any advice on a backup tool for mqsql? the old admin tool was awesome... had that schedulable backup option... worked like a charm...

Well it mostly depends on your host tools available. cronjobs is one. Terminal access may give some options other than manual. I would contact your host , if nothing is available to you possibly they can setup a automated one for you. Or just download and install workbench on your desktop. https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/

during the upgrade.... it's asking for these files. is there a bug?
The following files do not exist in your install (Make sure these are uploaded)ubb_js/dropzone.css ubb_js/dropzone.min.js ubb_js/lightbox/close.png ubb_js/lightbox/jquery.rotate.min.js ubb_js/lightbox/lightbox-plus-rotate.min.js ubb_js/lightbox/lightbox.css ubb_js/lightbox/loading.gif ubb_js/lightbox/next.png ubb_js/lightbox/prev.png ubb_js/lightbox/rotate.png
I can see them, they're just not in that file structure...

ugh. yes, they're in the 760 zip, but not in the 761... I guess jumping from 759 to 761 is not permitted...

Well I think it is looking for those files to delete them. And they don't exist. Just use the back button and try again.

just to save you some time, the 761 file already has the p1 (7.6.1.1) within it. The readme.txt file within the patch file mentions this. this can also be confirmed by the footer of your forum and your control panel dashboard displaying the version number as 7.6.1.1
cheers
