May have found a bug in 7.7.5 When I upload using the select a file to attach button on britbike forum it works fine BUT when I drag a file it becomes corrupt see bottom image. I tested .jpg and .jpeg both are allowed. Please advice

curious. Have you tried drag and drop the same file on your pc one folder to another? This will fail if you are short on temp drive space or memory

Late on this reply. If it works here. This site is hosted on a simple shared account. At least the last time i was told. I would look at the php settings for timeout and memory max_execution_time max_input_time max_file_uploads max_input_vars memory_limit post_max_size upload_max_filesize
You may need to increase a setting for the delay and for a temp buffer size for drag and drop

Update, suddenly today when I tested to drag a new image to attachment on my forum and it worked to my surprise. Have changed nothing so it might be one of those unexplained adventures in life.
Cheers

I was never able to replicate this on v7.7.5 nor v8. For whatever reason, it appears that the script was being "read in" as plain code versus being processed by the web server (as the portions of coding that appear seem to be plain HTML).

I'm still not able to replicate this on PHP7.4 or PHP8 using a stock build of v8 and v7.7.5.
If it "works" some days and "doesn't work" others, it's something going on with your host... Are they flipping PHP versions or is someone changing configurations on you?

Gizmo,
This "drag a file it becomes corrupt" issue is a pain. I have not been able to do it for months and yes I believe able to do it once 10 days ago.
If you wish to test it then I or you could set up an account on britbike forum.
that way you could test this issue and possible the other issue with selecting/uploading images described in the other topic.
Let me know if you wish to test on britbike.
