UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 6 Version 6 Support Wordwrap function [5.4.6]

In showflat.php, I notice this block of code on lines 543-548:

// -----------------------------------
// Wordwrap? Only in 4.0.2 and greater
$version = phpversion();
if ( (ereg("<pre>",$Body)) && ($version > "4.0.1") ){
//$Body = wordwrap($Body,75,"<br>",1);
}

You'll note that the functional line in there is commented out. I didn't see an equivalent function in showthreaded.php. Can anyone explain 1) Why this is commented out? 2) Why it's only in one page and not another, and 3) If it works, should we use it?

I didn't want to post this in bugs, but i'm very curious if anyone (*coughrickcough*) could explain it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Thanks,

This was some test code that was put in to showflat awhile back that I couldn't get working properly. Basically it is supposed to wrap lines that are beyond a certain number of characters and otherwise would not break to a new line. The problem is it ended up breaking the table cells under certain browsers and I still haven't figured out why.
