My board has just been hacked.
All my catagories and forum names have been changed to Vile & Nark
Admin log tracking was disabled
Customer Gorup were deleted.
and other really crappy things.

Can someone give me a liitle guidence here.
I don't wish to restore the backup only to have it happen again.

Is anyone able to provide me with a little light here?

All custom groups were deleted.

You don't write wich version do you use.

Update to the latest version (6.5.2) or version 6.5.1.1 with a input filter modification (threadsdev.com) to prevent hacking.

Does Closing the board until upgrade prevent further attacks?

6.5.2 should be secure. I use 6.5.1.1 an this input validation hack . If your 6.5.2 got hacked maybe another new exploit is on the way or your leak your password (not secure enough).
