I would like to shut down my Classic Board (prevent new posts), but I would like to leave the board up for people to search.

I could go through and delete all members, but folks want to leave their info up there so people can still lookup/contact eachother via profile information.

Is there a way to "lock" the forum and prevent new posts, but otherwise, leave it up and running?

Hi Random:

In your control panel, you can go to General Settings>>Forum Settings, and choose the Details link for the forum you wish to disable posting in (you'll need to do this for every forum). On the Forum Settings page, towards the bottom left, you'll see: "New Topics may be created by" and "Replies may be created by". You can set this to "No users". That will turn of posting in that forum. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
