UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.classic UBB.classic 6 Support 1 user gets error message trying to read PM's

I have a user whos on the board daily and today got this error when he tried to go into his PM's:

Unrecognized character 261 at CGIPath/.......ommitted path info/00001666.cgi line 25.

I did a rebuilt of member metadata (ubbclassic 6.7.0)

I opened the file and saw that after the PM "post" there is garbled characters and the file is missing all of the info regarding who the PM was from etc. Can I just delete the file or maybe dump in some blank info so its readable?

These lines are garbled and missing (I removed some text below because it was copied from a working PM file):

if it is just a pm it should be safe to just nuke it.
