When moving a topic from one forum to another, and using the option to leave a link in the original forum, the link carries the date/time tag of the initial post in the thread. The link is then sorted appropriately with the other threads in the forum. If the thread has had recent activity, but has been around awhile, the link will be sorted off the page latest page to a page further down the stack. This in effect makes the thread disappear without a link to most users (who don't bother to search for the link on subsequent pages, or don't realize it was moved).

My suggestion, have the link carry the date/time tag of the last post in the thread, rather than the initial post.. OR, have the link carry the date/time when the post is moved.. OR.. give the option for either!


Stress the system until it breaks. Hey.. it works for Spacecraft.. why not here?
