Installation :
The height of the CISS bottles is alsoimportant.The height of the CISS bottles should bealmost same height with the printhead inside. But not higher than thehorizontal height of printhead.
Above is HP 7740 printer, there are twopaper boxes to increase the height.the horizontal height of printhead is alsoincreased. After measuring, the height of the CISS bottle needs to be increasedby approximately 12CM.So we need to find an object with height of12CM (like paper box) to be put under the CISS bottle.
Settings:
After the cartridges are installed, pleaseclean the printhead. Method is as below:
Click “settings”---> “printer maintenance”--->”clean the printhead”
Then the printer will automatically print a test page, observe the colors and texts. If there is no problem, the printer can work normally.
FAQs about CISS and solutions:
Question 1: Install the CISS, the printer alerts “cartridge error” “cartridge broken””cartridge problem” etc
Solution:
A. Take out all the CISScartridges. Then which color was shown error just now, install that color ofthe original ink cartridges/ compatible ink cartridges.(ONLY the install errorcolor, don’t install other non-error color). This will make the printerrecognize that specific color. Then change to CISS cartridges.
B. Check if thecartridges leak, or broken, if there is a lot of air inside the tubes. If thecartridges leak, change the cartridges. Then draw the air out from the tubesand cartridges.
C. Check if the chips areinstalled correctly, or if the chips are broken, Then re-install the chips, orchange chips.
Question 2: Install the CISS, the printer will process the self-test for a few minutes. Then alert “cartridges used up” or “consumables used up”
A. Take out the CISS,install a set of original ink cartridges/compatible ink cartridges. And see ifit can print well. If it still alerts “cartridges used up”, then change thecarriage inside the printhead.
B. Take out the CISS andthe printhead, disassemble the carriage of printhead. And see if the diaphragmseal on the carriage is broken. If it’s broken, change a new diaphragm seal.
C.Check if thecartridges leak, or broken, if there is a lot of air inside the tubes. If thecartridges leak, change the cartridges. Then draw the air out from the tubesand cartridges.
Question 3: Install the CISS, the printer finished the self-test. The printer can print. But the colors are not good, or lack of color, or printing disconnection, the ink absorbed on paper. etc
A. Check if the CISSbottle is placed at a proper height. Adjust the height. (Please refer to theinstallation instruction)
B. Check if there is a lotof air inside the cartridges and tubes.
C. If there is only lackof color or printing disconnection, no other problems, then check if theprinthead is clogged. Install a set of original ink cartridges/ compatiblecartridges to print. If the problem still remains, it proves the printhead isclogged, change or maintain the printhead.
