Original vintage Commodore transport protector used to help secure/protect the floppy-drive head while the drive was being moved or shipped. The card is marked “HEAD VIBRATION PROTECTOR – FOR USE WHEN IN TRANSIT” and “REMOVE FOR OPERATION.”
This is the earlier 251171-02 version associated with the Commodore 1541, rather than the later 251171-03 version with the smaller offset tab.
Condition: Structurally intact with no major tears visible. There is noticeable age-related spotting/foxing and toning across the printed face, plus light edge and corner wear. Reverse is comparatively clean with some age discoloration.
Included: One Commodore 251171-02 head vibration protector only. No disk drive, disks, cables, manuals, or other accessories are included.
