These X5690 CPUs and the X5680 CPUs will also allow the use of faster 1333MHz memory. The X5670 and slower CPUs will not allow the faster memory.

If you have the 2009 version of the Mac Pro and have not upgraded to the 5.1 firmware yet, you will need to download and install the 4.1 to 5.1 firmware before installing these CPUs. It's very east to do and just ask and I'll send you the links for the download and a firmware installation video.

We give a one month warranty (upon shipping arrival) on all of our items which is long enough to have it installed and know that it is working perfectly. If for some reason the product becomes faulty after this date, we will still work with you on a solution.Friendly Computers USA can not be responsible for any damages or other losses caused by the use of, or installation of the product.
