WHAT THESE ARESamsung 32 GB load-reduced ECC server memory, pulled from a Supermicro server during teardown. Every module still carries its Supermicro asset sticker, and those stickers are photographed in this listing, so you can check what arrives against what you saw. They are Supermicro inventory tags rather than Samsung serials, and despite the "WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED" text printed on them they carry no warranty from anybody. Eight of the twelve modules from this batch were in service in that server. All twelve were installed together for the memory test described below.
WHAT WAS TESTEDMemTest86 V9.4, started 2026-09-16 at 03:56:35 and run for 97 hours 27 minutes 7 seconds without interruption. Result: 48 of 48 tests passed, 100 percent. Zero errors on every counter the program reports - no lowest or highest error address, an all-zero bits-in-error mask, zero bits in error, and zero maximum contiguous errors. The per-test table reads zero errors on every single test. Both screens are photographed in this listing so you can read the numbers yourself rather than take my word for them. The modules were tested together as a set in a Supermicro server. Separately, eight of them were in that machine through a multi-hour parallel disk-wipe job during which it logged zero corrected and zero uncorrected ECC errors.
WHAT WAS NOT TESTED - PLEASE READA 97-hour clean pass is strong evidence, and I want to be precise about what it is evidence of. The modules were tested as a set, not one at a time, so no individual module has been certified on its own. The MemTest86 summary screen does not print how much memory was installed, so the photograph shows you the result but does not by itself prove the module count.
COMPATIBILITY - LOAD-REDUCED, PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYINGThese are LOAD-REDUCED DIMMs (LRDIMM). Load-reduced, registered (RDIMM) and unbuffered (UDIMM) memory are not interchangeable. An LRDIMM needs a server or workstation board that names LRDIMM in its memory support list. A board that accepts only registered DIMMs will not run these, and no ordinary desktop will. They are also quad-rank (4Rx4), which some boards restrict more tightly than dual-rank modules. Check your board supported memory list for this part number, or for 32GB 4Rx4 PC3L-12800L, before you buy. The label reads PC3L and 1.35V, and the host server memory rail measured 1.34 to 1.36V in service.
