Up for sale is an original Motorola 68000 Educational Computer Board, introduced by Motorola in 1981 as a standalone training and development platform for their then-new 68000 16/32-bit microprocessor — the same CPU family that would go on to power the Apple Macintosh, Commodore Amiga, Atari ST, and Sega Genesis.

Originally sold for $495 (roughly $1,750 in today’s dollars), the board was aimed at colleges and industrial training programs teaching 68000 assembly language, and shipped with a self-contained monitor/debugger firmware in ROM called TUTOR, providing assembly/disassembly, program entry, and step-through debugging — no separate host computer required, just an RS-232 dumb terminal and power.
