Offered here is a complete, matched 1983 PFS software suite from Software Publishing Corporation, preserved together since original retail purchase at Wildcat Computing in Plano, Texas. This is not a mixed lot, not a later reissue, and not a partial set — this is a documented retail provenance set, with all four boxes carrying their original Wildcat Computing price labels from the early 1980s.
This suite includes all four first‑generation PFS titles:
pfs: file
pfs: report
pfs: write
pfs: graph
Every manual in this set is dated 1983, confirming these are launch‑era releases from the dawn of IBM PC productivity software. Later PFS versions (often seen with 3.5" disks) are far more common — this 1983 5.25" floppy suite is significantly rarer and highly desirable to collectors, archivists, and retro computing enthusiasts.
Contents include:
Original 5.25" program disks
Backup disks (including factory “Spare Copy” variants)
Sampler disks
Complete manuals (all 1983)
Installation guides
Software catalogs
Original foam inserts (where applicable)
All four Wildcat Computing retail stickers intact
The boxes are clean and well‑preserved, showing only light shelf wear consistent with age. Disk surfaces are clean and free of damage; disks are untested due to age but present exceptionally well. The set displays beautifully and is ideal for archival preservation, display, or completing a vintage IBM PC collection.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a fully matched, first‑generation PFS suite with intact retail provenance — a museum‑worthy example of early PC software history.Any questions, please reach out. I am always open to communication or offers. If there are other pictures or a video you'd like- just send me a message. I respond promptly and if I don't have your answer, I'll find it. You will be incredibly hard pressed to find a complete set like this (other than the factory sealed version that I also listed). The Store Provenance is what really puts this set in another tier. Basically all that's missing is a receipt! Thanks for looking and check out my other vintage software that's listed.
