Don't insert the ink cartridge, then turn on the printer and start to print. And please check the counter number changed or not. If it changed, then the printer is not encrypted.

Determine the method
As shown in the picture, the ink cartridge has this small chip. You can cut a small piece of transparent glue to cover the small chip. Then put it into the printer for use. If the ink cartridge cannot be used, then the printer is encrypted. If it can print normally or ink cartridge don't have the small chip on it, then the printer is not encrypted.
